His research interests include visual arts and design, new media production, social semiotics, multimodality and Activity theory. He blogs on these topics, and more, at http://www.travisnoakes.co.za. He is a member of CPUT’s Technology in Education Research Postgraduate Students Group, Digimobs SA and has presented on his preliminary findings at the Design Development and Research Conference (2011), Elearning update (2011), and “Technology in Education” mini-conference (2010).
